Sudhir Patwardhan

Born in 1949 in Pune Sudhir Patwardhan, by profession, is a practising Radiologist at Thane and above all a self taught artist. Sudhir Patwardhan is uncomfortable with the word 'spiritual' especially if his work is labelled as such. Committed to Marxist ideology at the beginning of his career (albeit modified by questions and doubts now), Patwardhan is more confident in the certainty and reality of the material world. For him, this world is not an illusion; to express disapproval of it, is folly.
