K.M. Vasudevan Namboothiri

Karuvattu Mana Vasudevan Namboothiri (born 1925) is a painter and sculptor, known for his line art and copper relief sculptures. He is recognized internationally, to be a literary illustrator and has illustrated the works of major Malayalam writers. His cartoon series in the Malayalam weekly, Mathrubhumi, where he worked from 1960 to 1982, was popular amongst Mathrubhumi readers.

Namboothiri has served as Chairman of the Kerala Lalitkala Academy twice.
