Pankaj Panwar

After his initial education in Kala Bhavana, Santiniketan, and M.S. University, Baroda, Pankaj Panwar (b.1961) proceeded London, in 1989-90, to specialize at the Royal College of Art. Pankaj is recipient of several scholarships and fellowships and has participated in numerous shows across India.

Pankaj’s sculptures explore the relationship and tensions between man and Nature. Santiniketan is his inspiration, the environment and atmosphere is reflected in his work. Panwar’s preoccupation in his sculptures, is the dialectics of form and content to create archetypal images. He uses fibreglass, wood and bricks to create archetypal images.
